Privacy Policy

What we collect

• ✦Birth details (name, date, and optionally time and place). If you use JadeMirror without an account, these are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device, sent to our servers only at the moment a reading is generated, and not retained afterward. If you create an account and sign in, your birth details are also saved with your account (encrypted at rest) so they sync across your devices; you can clear them at any time.
• ✦Email address, if you give one. We use it to deliver your reading and your daily horoscope, and to let you back into your saved profile. We do not sell it.
• ✦A face photo, only when you choose to take or upload one for a face reading. See the Biometric Data Notice for full detail on how it is handled.
• ✦Technical data needed to run the service: a randomly generated device identifier and your IP address, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and a signed cookie (jade_ent) that records whether you have a paid plan.

How your face photo is handled

When you request a face reading, your photo is sent to our AI analysis provider to generate the reading, then discarded. JadeMirror does not store your photo, does not use it to identify you, and does not sell or share it for advertising. We use it only to produce the reading you asked for. Third parties

• ✦An AI provider processes reading requests (your chart inputs and, for face readings, your photo).
• ✦Our hosting provider serves the app and records standard server logs.
• ✦Stripe processes payments for paid plans. We never see your full card number.
• ✦If you create an account, Clerk provides the sign-in service and securely stores your login email.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use a functional cookie (jade_ent) to remember your plan and, if you sign in, session cookies set by our sign-in provider to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices and rights

• ✦Clear your birth details and email any time from the Account page, or by clearing your browser storage.
• ✦Request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data tied to your email by writing to privacy@jademirror.ai.
• ✦Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to access, delete, or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your regulator.

Children

JadeMirror is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
