Privacy Policy

What we collect

• ✦Birth details (name, date, and optionally time and place). If you use JadeMirror without an account, these are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device, sent to our servers only at the moment a reading is generated, and not retained afterward. If you create an account and sign in, your birth details are also saved with your account (encrypted at rest) so they sync across your devices; you can clear them at any time.
• ✦Email address, if you give one. We use it to deliver your reading and your daily horoscope, and to let you back into your saved profile. We do not sell it.
• ✦What you tell us during setup. When you set up your reading we ask about your life — which area feels heaviest, what you want to be true a year from now, what usually stops you, and an optional note to your future self. You choose what to answer, and several questions can be skipped. We use these answers for one purpose: to write your readings for the life you described rather than for a star sign, and to write to you about JadeMirror. They are stored against your email address. If you do not become a member, we keep them for 90 days and then delete them automatically. If you do become a member they become part of your profile and stay until you delete your account. We never sell them, and we do not share them with anyone beyond the providers listed below who process data on our behalf.
• ✦A face photo, only when you choose to take or upload one for a face reading. See the Biometric Data Notice for full detail on how it is handled.
• ✦Technical data needed to run the service: a randomly generated device identifier and your IP address, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and a signed cookie (jade_ent) that records whether you have a paid plan.

How your face photo is handled

When you request a face reading, your photo is sent to our AI analysis provider to generate the reading, then discarded. JadeMirror does not store your photo, does not use it to identify you, and does not sell or share it for advertising. We use it only to produce the reading you asked for. Third parties

• ✦An AI provider processes reading requests (your chart inputs and, for face readings, your photo).
• ✦Our hosting provider serves the app and records standard server logs.
• ✦Stripe processes payments for paid plans. We never see your full card number.
• ✦If you create an account, Clerk provides the sign-in service and securely stores your login email.
• ✦Microsoft Clarity provides product analytics, including recordings of how pages are used, so we can see where the setup flow is confusing. It is configured to hide what you type: your name, email, birth details, your written answers and your chart are masked before a recording leaves your browser.
• ✦Meta (Facebook and Instagram) provides advertising measurement. If you arrived from one of our ads, and again if you later buy a plan, we report that to Meta so we can tell which ads work. We send a hashed form of your email, never the address itself, and never your answers, your chart or your photo.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Functional: jade_ent remembers whether you have a paid plan, jade_vid is a random id that lets us tell which link or ad brought you here, and if you sign in, your sign-in provider sets session cookies to keep you logged in.

Analytics and advertising: Microsoft Clarity sets a cookie to recognise a returning session, and the Meta pixel sets _fbp and _fbc so we can measure which of our ads produced a sale. These are advertising cookies. If you would rather not have them, your browser settings or an ad blocker will stop them, and nothing on JadeMirror depends on them working.

Your choices and rights

• ✦Clear your birth details and email any time from the Account page, or by clearing your browser storage.
• ✦Request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data tied to your email by writing to privacy@jademirror.ai.
• ✦Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to access, delete, or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your regulator.

Children

JadeMirror is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
